If you are like most people, you are never too far away from your mobile phone. In fact, you probably use it a lot more than you care to admit. That’s okay, we all do it. But, something else that we all tend to do that is not okay is to not take care of our iPhones so they are always working at peak performance. They can get sluggish. Batteries die when you need power the most. Screens become filthy. The list goes on and on. Luckily, there are all kinds of things you can do that will keep you from having too many of these problems.

1.Turn Off Location Settings

You don’t really need location settings or system services, so turn them off. This is going to help save on battery power, and you can remain anonymous because not have your location known at all times.

2.Use Airplane Mode

When you are connected to the Internet, you are using a lot of battery power. If you don’t need to be connected, disconnect and go to airplane mode, and save your battery power for when you really need it.

3.Keep the Phone Clean

It is important to keep your iPhone clean, and to make sure that you are cleaning it properly. Never use harsh chemical cleansers. Only use cleaners that are made for screens. Use compressed air or a soft brush to clean dirt out of the ports. Keeping it clean will be a huge help when you are ready to sell your iPhone later on.

4.Don’t Overcharge

Charging the battery too much can actually do a lot more harm than good. Ideally, your phone should be charged at 50% to 80% at all times. Also, try not to charge your phone overnight unless it is absolutely necessary.

5.Reduce Display Brightness

The brighter your display is, the more battery power your iPhone is using. If you don’t need the display to be overly bright, turn down the brightness. Go the setting that is at the lowest level you feel comfortable with.

6.Use a Screen Protector

You can prevent a lot of scratches and cracks on your iPhone screen by using a screen protector. You should also use a phone cover, which will keep the phone from breaking if it is accidentally dropped. You can get covers in a variety of styles, colors, and patterns.

7.Delete Apps

If you don’t use certain apps very often, get rid of them. All they are doing is taking up space on the device and slowing things down for you. It’s easy to do, and it only takes a few minutes to have your device running a lot faster without all of those unnecessary apps.

8.Delete Files

You likely have a lot of files you don’t need. For instance, you don’t need that photo of what you ate last night, because you already posted it. Get rid of music, video, and photo files that you no longer need, and free up a lot of space on your iPhone.

9.Delete Messages

It can be really easy to scroll through messages without deleting them, and before you know it, you have thousands of old messages you no longer need. This includes text messages, photo, video, and audio messages, both sent and received. Deleting unnecessary messages will free up even more space on your device.

10.Close Apps

When there are apps running in the background, they are taking up space and slowing things down on your phone. Close these apps, and notice how much faster your phone operates.
